SPF records are often overlooked or forgotten when it comes to DNS. Either the DNS administrator forgets SPF records, or they simply do not know enough about them.
SPF stands for Sender Policy Framework, and is a very simple TXT record that contains rules for who and what may send emails on behalf of your domain. In other words, it can be critical for whether your contact form “may” send you a message on behalf of e.g. [email protected] Of course, there can be an incredible number of other factors that come into play. Read more about problems receiving form messages in the post, “Help! I do not receive emails from forms“.
As one of DNS Info’s core features, you can also automatically generate SPF for your domain with the 1-click SPF generator, or you can build your SPF in an advanced way, with your own additional domains and IP addresses.
